Free Kids' Mountain Biking Event in Boulder ? Mile High on the Cheap

Youngsters can learn basic mountain biking skills?at the FREE??Take a Kid Mountain Biking? event on Saturday, October 6, from 9 a.m. to?1 ?p.m. at Boulder?s Valmont Bike Park. The event has scheduled 45-minute instructional group rides with an emphasis on safety and fun, and learn some new biking skills while exploring the park with Avid4 Adventure instructors. Click here for details. Clinics begin regularly and pre-registration is required, but hurry, because sessions have been filling fast. Age 7 and older is recommended, and children must be comfortable on 2 wheels (no training wheels or stryders) in order to join the group ride. Avid4 Adventure is also selling used kids? mountain biking gear at good prices, and Boulder Community Hospital is providing FREE use of ?helmets during the event. 3199 Airport Rd., Boulder.
