In last night?s Republican debate in Arizona ? Mitt Romney went on record to say ?I think you see a model here in Arizona? regarding immigration reform. ?This is of course this law allows police to pull someone over for ?looking like an illegal immigrant?. ?What constitutes looking like an illegal immigrant?being brown skinned, because they sure as hell aren?t worried about illegal Canadians. ?More on the law that Romney wants to see enacted across the country:
The?law, which proponents and critics alike said was the broadest and strictest immigration measure in generations, would make the failure to carry immigration documents a crime and give the police broad power to detain anyone suspected of being in the country illegally. Opponents have called it an open invitation for harassment and discrimination against Hispanics regardless of their citizenship status.

And the law?s constitutionality has been challenged to the point that it?s going to be reviewed by the Supreme Court this year:
The high court released on Friday its April calendar, listing immigration and other cases scheduled to be heard in its final argument sitting for the current term, which began in October and ends in late June.
At issue is whether federal immigration laws take precedence and pre-empt Arizona?s controversial law that gives local police broad new powers to crack down on illegal immigrants.
